I'm a third-year CS student who fell down the rabbit hole of systems programming and everything that lives close to the metal makes my platonic mind erupt: kernels, compilers(will_build.future_inPain), linux-ricing, systems, but still, am not him.
My current, is backend engineering and distributed systems. I find this stuff genuinely beautiful in a way I can't fully explain to people who haven't felt it, ofcourse not at par with the low level stuff: but definitely serves as a more socially acceptable replacement to it /ifykyk
To maintain some illusion of employability (and a little sanity for the people around me) i have to get my hands dirty inside dumbo-abstracted languages
for web dev and insert buzzword framework in the resume.
